For Example: Communication Management

Task and Goal:
To facilitate a project for the long term improvement of the internal communication of a big logistic and financial services company.

Actions and Methods:
In the first step, conex determined the structure of the project, the project planning and the inventory of methods. With methods of large group interventions (RTSC-Conferences, Open Space-Conferences), we set an impulse in the company, which is internationally represented by numerous large sites, to soften crusted structures and to redesign non-functional communication routines. For example, we developed the setup of a database for the Knowledge Management and collected the gained experience in an electronically available “work book” to accelerate the communication and learning process in the central office and the subsidiaries. Furthermore, a tool, based on communication science, for auditing the communication management was implemented and used.

Result and Benefit:
The project met the planned targets for the improvement of the communication processes. Obtained findings and experiences are presented as knowledge and available for the entire organization. The strategic and organizational principles are anchored deeply; the conditions for responsible acting and individual initiative of the staff are generated.

For Example: Guideline and Strategic Development

Task and Goal:
To support the development and realization of the business strategy for sustainability and environmental management of a worldwide leading re-insurance company.

Actions and Methods:
Based on a review of the existing facilities, regulations and arrangements for the environmental protection and the environmental management, conex worked out (in co-operation with other consultancies) a benchmark study. The following derived business strategy for sustainability and environmental protection was realized through a system of environmental management and an environmental program. Innovative solutions were found for ecological problems connected to the company’s services. Selective measures for the communicative transfer helped to reach the intended EMAS validation according in time.

Result and Benefit:
The company has impressively fulfilled the obligations and requirements of the regional and international institutions. The employees consider the criteria of sustainability and environmental protection in their actions.

For Example: Process Management

Task and Goal:
To develop a comprehensive quality management system in two private institutions in the health care sector (cardiologic clinic and orthopedic rehabilitation clinic).

Actions and Methods:
Both clinics always perform above average in quality benchmarks. The task was to gather, systemize and complement the already established arrangements for quality assurance. conex accompanied the process in workshops and complementary information and training arrangements to find a comprehensive quality management system. The system already met further requirements (environmental management, occupational health and safety management) and sophisticated systems of demand (in this case: KTQ, specific standard for business excellence in the German health care system). The leading and controlling of the group got systemized and simplified by the utilization of a specific further developed Balanced Scorecard by conex.

Result and Benefit:
The facilities were successfully certificated according to ISO 9001. The internal processes were greatly improved. Recently, our client won the clinic award for innovation and quality management of the federal state of Lower Saxony (Germany).

For Example: Integrated Management

Task and Goal:
To implement an integrated management system for a company in the aluminum industry.

Actions and Methods:
The company belongs to a world wide operating group and uses different management systems, which were initially parallel certified according to international standards. The growth strategy plans setting up more sites in Europe. The company assigned conex to integrate the parallel running management systems. conex developed an individual process model which served as a framework for the company. With specific coaching of the project supervisor and the adjustment of the documents for the newly integrated management system, conex was able to lead the project to success.

Result and Benefit:
Today the company has strongly reduced documentation, which is appreciated by the staff as a real help. The process-oriented and integrated management system, which was defined with our help, also provides new sites with clear processes and structures. The certification company confirmed the maturity of the management system.
